My name is James. I initially studied mechanical engineering and industrial design.
Shortly after graduating, I unexpectedly got a job as an Extra (SA) on a BBC documentary.
I really enjoyed the experience, and it made me realise that I would like to work in the film and TV industry in some capacity.
However, I knew absolutely nothing about the film and TV industry. As you can imagine, it's not the sort of thing they teach you about when studying mechanical engineering.
As a result, when I was trying to enter the industry, I experienced a "quarter-life crisis".
Eventually, I managed to find my feet and secure regular work in the industry.
